3 from L'Oreal | Foundations

L'Oreal has to be one of my favourite brands when it comes to my base. Each of their foundations have a different benefit, whether that be shade range, formula or coverage, they really do have it all. I've recently picked up another of theirs to try and decided to put this post together to compare the advantages and disadvantages of each one.
For reference I have oily, fair skin and require a good medium coverage.

L'Oreal Infalliable 24h Matte | £8.99
I'm not going to beat around the bush, this is my favourite foundation from L'Oreal, as well as from the drugstore altogether. I've been using this for years now on an everyday basis, it just works for me. The coverage is perfect for what I need, the finish is matte which works well on my oily skin and it's also the most affordable too. This foundation does get mixed reviews, with comments that it's too heavy or 'cakey' and also that it doesn't work well on dry skin. I would definitely agree with the latter but I don't personally find it too heavy at all, but I guess it's what you're used to. This applies really well with both a beauty blender and a brush, but I find the finish to be more even with a sponge. My only concerns for this is that it's quite pink-toned, which is perfect for pale me but when I've got a tan it's a little off, even a few shades up. It's definitely more suited for those with pink or neutral undertones as well as oily or normal skin, that requires some good coverage and lasting power too.

Good for:
Lasting power
Everyday wear
Blendabilty
Oily skin

Not so good for:
Pink undertones

L'Oreal True Match | £9.99
Another foundation I've had a while and purchased a few times now. This is my lazy day foundation, the one I reach for when I'm not really doing anything or going anywhere but still want a natural, light-medium base. As I mainly use this on Sundays where I'm usually at my palest, the shade I have (1.C) suits me perfectly. With this foundation you can choose your undertone within the shade, for example 1.C is for cool undertones which is slighlty pink, 1.N is neutral and 1.W has warmer undertones. You can definitely find your match in this foundation which is what makes it so desirable. The formula is more runny compared to the others, but is super blendable because of it. It leaves a natural, breathable finish which isn't matte nor dewy, but it does leave the skin looking radiant. It's not the most long-wearing formula for me as I require a more mattifying base but I do love it regardless.

Good for:
Shade range
Natural looks
Blendabilty
Dry skin

Not so good for:
Lasting power

L'Oreal Infalliable Total Cover | £9.99
This is my most recent L'Oreal foundation purchase after hearing and seeing so much about it. The main factor that sold it for me was the full coverage formula, and the fact I already love the Infalliable matte. This has more of a mousse-like consistency (think dream matte mousse) which seems a little daunting until you start blending it in. I wouldn't describe it as having an easily blendable formula, you do have to work on it quite a bit compared to the others but it does pack on the coverage straight away. I find applying with a brush works a little better with this one as it's a little denser, especially around the nose and eye areas. The coverage is quite impressive, but I wouldn't say it's much different from Infalliable matte, just harder to work with. The lasting power on this isn't as amazing as I'd hoped, as it leaves a natural matte finish so does tend to crease on me, but I think it would work much better on normal/combination skin types.

Good for:
Coverage

Not so good for:
Shade range
Blendabilty

As you can tell, each foundation has a different finish, formula and all appeal to different skin types. I really like the diversity in L'Oreal foundations and that's why they are some of my favourites. They are such good quality for the price and I find myself reaching for them so much more than high end ones.

Which is your favourite from L'Oreal?
