When it comes to exfoliating, The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Exfoliator is a staple product for perfecting and polishing your skin. It contains seaweed and joboa beads which don't scratch at the skin, but still manage to get into every pore and remove all dirt and impurities. I use it every other day and it makes your skin feel totally cleansed and new, ready for the next steps in your routine.
Using a Cleansing brush really helps to remove any lasts bits you may of missed as well as traces of makeup. I use the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush which is good-sized, light weight and waterproof plus shaped to fit around the contours of your face. You can use it up to twice a day for a minute each time to keep your skin squeaky clean, but I prefer to just use it in the evenings and I wouldn't go without now!
The first face mask that comes to mind when I think of deep-cleaning is The Body Shop Himalayan Purifying Charcoal Mask. I've done a whole seperate post on this (read here) which will go a little more in depth. The mask contains seaweed and bamboo pieces which is good for oily skin, and charcoal which cleans and brightens. The refreshing scent and ingredients really do leave your skin feeling purified and brand new.
A recent purchase is this beautifully scented Lush Cosmetics Cupcake Fresh Face Mask, which smells just like chocolate and vanilla. It's perfect for oily and spot prone skin as it's oil absorbing and contains fresh, natural ingredients such as spearmint and peppermint. The consistency isn't totally smooth and so does give your skin a light polish whilst applying and washing off. I do find it to be really deep-cleaning and leaves your skin smelling incredible after too.
If you suffer with flakey lips then look no further. Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub is incredibly exfoliating and really polishes and preps the skin ready for lip products. This is a really handy product to use especially before applying matte lip products. It's quite sweet as it's made with caster sugar but doesn't leave behind any stickiness whatsoever. There's also a few other yummy scents to choose from such as chocolate and popcorn!
