The must have skincare for blemish-prone skin

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask
This mask is an amazing all-rounder when it comes to skincare. From cleansing and purifying, to brightening and softening and combatting oily/blemish-prone skin, it does it all. If there's just one mask you need in your skincare routine then it has to be this. The effect it has on your skin with regular use (twice a week) is like no other! Say goodbye to dull skin and clogged pores and hello to a deep-cleaned, glowing complexion.

The Body Shop Aloe Calming Cream Cleanser
When it comes to cleansing blemish-prone skin, the last thing you want to do is irritate it with harsh chemicals and ingredients. The best one I've found for this is the calming cream cleanser from the Body Shop's Aloe range. It's frangrance, alcohol, colourant and preservative free so is perfect for removing those last traces of makeup without any aggravation. It's also moisturising so leaves your skin feeling silky soft too!

Garnier Skin Active Rose Toner
Rose water is very beneficial for sensitive skin due to its naturally soothing properties. It also works well to calm any irritations or breakouts. This toner from Garniers new SkinActive Naturals range is made up of 96% natural ingredients which help to remove makeup, tone, as well as hydrate and restore the skin. It has a delicate rose scent to it which really freshens up the face, perfect for treating blemishes!

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion
If you suffer from under the surface spots, or wish to target those aggressive ones before they surface, then this is the product for you. This is a liquid spot treatment which absorbs quickly into the skin to treat those deep blemishes right from the source. The formula isn't harsh and doesn't sting but instead soothes, calms and promotes healing. It also contains anti-redness properties which really makes a difference to angry looking skin. This is a staple skincare treatment if you suffer from regular breakouts.

Mario Badescu Drying Cream
Drying creams and lotions work really well to target blemishes, kill bacteria and dry out any excess oil and around the area. This one from Mario Badescu is in a cream form, which blends into the skin nicely so can actually be used under makeup. Whilst concealing it also targets under the surface blemishes and promotes healing. It works really well on top of the Buffering Lotion and left on over night. Together they target the blemish from the root and reduce redness, helping the skin to really clear up.
